Here's what readers are saying about

"Grace in Thine Eyes is a masterpiece! I was skeptical, thinking it could never be as good as the first three. It's the best yet! I love the way grace and forgiveness are wound through the text. Once I start one of your books it consumes me. My daughter is only 8, but I have them set aside for her to read some day. She has watched me dance and cry over your books and someday she will understand why. I know your writing will touch her heart and strengthen her faith as it has mine."
   Courtney from Wyoming

"Grace in Thine Eyes is positively amazing! What a ferlie book! I laughed, I grieved, I hoped, I rejoiced, I feared, and I determined to read the whole series. Bethankit for your gift!"
   Sharon via e-mail

"I stayed up until 3:00am reading Grace in Thine Eyes, then rushed out for the first three of the series. I felt like a part of the family! I can hardly wait for Here Burns My Candle."
   Eleanor from Florida

"You are an unbelievable writer. I was not able to get anything done as I was so wrapped up in the Scottish series. Thank you for writing about God's love and grace while mixing in a wonderful amount of history and romance. You are, bar none, one of my favourite authors of all time."
   Ruth from Ontario, Canada

"The story was absolutely marvelous in the biblical parallel. I have never read a novel that had my emotions so turned upside down. One minute I hated Somerled and the next I was completely won over by his tenacity and grace. I loved Davina! Her talents, stature, and her heart! Thanks so very much for transporting me to this wonderful country."
   Denise from Georgia

"I LOVED the trilogy but found it so emotionally exhausting that I’d held off reading Grace in Thine Eyes. Then I read the first chapter and naturally, I was drawn right in. Maybe it’s just where I am spiritually, but I wept more over this one story than I did over the other three together. The biblical story of Dinah has been of great interest and curiosity to me, so I knew roughly what would happen…and you stayed true to the essence of the account, and made me completely believe in both Somerled and Davina. By the time the twins came on the scene, I was so into the story that I tried to prepare myself for what I knew must be certain disaster, but could not. I wept all through the last third, and never really stopped until long after I finished reading. What an achingly beautiful book. The telling of it was smooth as silk. And the music was flawless!
   Shannon via e-mail

"Grace in Thine Eyes is the best one yet. You have a profound way of transporting me to another place, another time, even another century, and I'm never ready to leave when the last page is turned. I can confidently say that when I'm looking for a book, you are always my first and favorite choice. God has gifted you to write His story for all the world to read so we can see His glory once again."
   Sandy from Georgia

"My sincerest thanks for a job well done. Riveting, heartwrenching, and beautifully written, Grace in Thine Eyes is a story that captures the soul of your readers and does not let go easily. I had the privilege of staying on the Isle of Arran for three days. You can imagine how much more real your story was to me as I read it. I could picture Brodick, its castle, Goatfell, Lochranza, and the ethereal beauty of the island. Thank you so much for capturing the beauty of Scotland and its people in your book. I'm a new reader of yours, but will most definitely now read the other books in your Scottish series. Davina and the sound of her fiddle will remain in my heart for years to come."
   April via email

"What I love about your novels is that they are not mushy romance dribble! Especially this one! I love all the detail and your painstaking research and attention to details like the period music, the buildings, the clothing, and even the cultural accuracy of that time period. God has gifted you with the ability to weave a delicate balance of storytelling that doesn’t just entertain, but clearly speaks to, encourages, and teaches the reader. Thank you, thank you for being the lovely, God-filled woman that you are."
   Lisa from Arkansas

"I have just finished reading Grace in Thine Eyes and have such a feeling of joy for Davina. The story is beautifully done. You show us the importance of so many values--spiritual, intellectual, respect for one another, loving one another--oh, I could go on and on! And I am quite impressed with your knowledge of Scotland and the traditions that were so highly regarded by the Scots. I have been doing a Bible study of Genesis, so I found it quite interesting to compare the real and the fiction. I have enjoyed all four of your Scottish books. You have such a gift of writing."
   Bette from Florida

"The latest book is my favorite. I felt like I was eating when reading it. Like a good meal. Not something to be rushed. I was so concerned that something might happen to Davina...THAT is a good book, where you have me crying. I loved this book."
   Cyndi from Pennsylvania

"I just finished Grace in Thine Eyes and was enthralled with it. It is refreshing to read Christian fiction that isn't just a feel-good love story. I loved the series for many reasons, in large part because it's not predictable in the sense that boy and girl meet; boy likes girl; girl likes boy; they fall in love, get married, and live happily ever after. Sure, I know what happens in the Bible story, but somehow you weave together a story that just captures me. God's mercy, grace and love shine through. I literally cannot wait until your next novel is published in (gasp!) 2008!"
   Betty from Massachusetts

"I have finally found my Christian Diana Gabaldon! You are a superb writer. I love it when romance is based on deeper feelings than just what someone looks like on the outside. I am reading Grace in Thine Eyes now. Thanks for writing with such passion and depth. It is so hard to find an author that writes as well as you. May God continue to bless your writings."
   Pam via e-mail

"Grace in Thine Eyes so touched me. Having recently sent my own daughter off to college, I could so relate to Leana's heartsickness (and fear of the unknown!) With my training in music and my Celtic ancestry, I loved the interweaving of those two themes. And the quotes as each chapter began are so aptly chosen! The unwavering belief in God and His Providence wins out, as we know it ultimately will."
   Zanese from Georgia

"I bought Grace In Thine Eyes at our book club meeting and could hardly put it down, so I bought your 3 other Galloway novels and fell in love with your characters. The way you developed them made them come alive to me. The Lord spoke to my heart while I was reading (and sobbing) through Leana’s various trials and challenged me to look for Him in my trials. I got a clearer picture of what unconditional love looks like–lived out."
   Teri from Kentucky

"I just finished Grace in Thine Eyes. WOW! You just keep getting better and better! What a wonderful story and I loved the ending--hope prevails! Thank you for providing good Christian reading material for those of us who continue to work toward the goal of becoming more Christlike in our walk of faith."
   Ann from Ohio

"I have purposely taken my time reading Grace in Thine Eyes, knowing this would be last of the series. Reading only a few pages at a time was torture, but I wanted to make it last. Once again, you greatly exceeded my expectations and transported me back in time to Scotland. I loved Davina and revisiting Glentrool and peeking in on Leana and Jamie again. Alas, now it's over and I feel like some kind of junkie wanting another fix! Are you sure that you don't have just one more story about the McKie family? Thank you yet again for entertaining and inspiring me."
   Marilyn from Oklahoma

"I just finished Grace. Wow! You are a master at weaving a tale. I feel like I’ve been on a roller coaster! Writing that book must have been emotionally exhausting. I can’t wait for your next series—really, Liz, you are a rare talent and I treasure your works."
   Heidi from Michigan

"I was in the Christian fiction section and saw your latest book, Grace in Thine Eyes. I must have gasped with delight, because I drew the stares of several folks a few aisles over! I only pushed two old ladies out of my way to get to the cashier! Once the book and I were home all else was lost. Really, how much clean laundry does anyone need? Once again you have woven an amazing story. And once again I was transported to another place and another time. Your commitment to detail makes each of your stories incredibly meaty. It is abundantly clear that your desire is for your readers to understand who God is and that life—real life—only comes in knowing Jesus Christ as Savior. Grace in Thine Eyes reads like an invitation to 'taste and see that the Lord is good.' From the difficulty of the story, the real struggle of the characters and the hopeful ending, your story—Dinah's story—rings of redemption and forgiveness. Who does not want to experience that?"
   Suzi from North Carolina

"I loved your book, Grace in Thine Eyes. I especially liked the Scripture verses you used, and felt so many emotions while reading about Davina. I love the history and hope to visit Scotland someday."
   Susan from Pennsylvania

"I began reading Grace on the beach, and there, in that breezy, cool, spot, I could picture Davina in my minds-eye. What a beautiful character you developed! While, of course, we cannot know for sure just how Dinah's story unfolded, I loved the picture you painted of her, and we can be sure God's grace was sufficient for her. I truly loved this story and wanted you to know what a blessing it is. God has used your fiction works to cause me to dig deeper into His marvelous Book!"
   Christie from Kentucky

"Thank you so much for putting your God-given talents to paper. Your novels gave me many pleasant hours. I hated saying good-bye to all the friends I'd learned to love. I continue to speak with a Scottish accent... and am driving my family crazy. I so look forward to Spring 2008."
   Jan from Virginia

"I would love to have bookplates for my most favored treasures: Thorn in My Heart (so precious!), Fair Is the Rose (oh, my heart!), Whence Came a Prince (simply scrumptious!), and Grace in Thine Eyes (my favorite!)."
   Jean from Florida

"I just finished reading Grace in Thine Eyes. I couldn't wait to get into it once I got my hands on it. Just like the three before, it was an incredible read! I found it so difficult to read through some of the circumstances in which the characters found themselves. I could feel the pain, the agony, the hurt, the fear...Your books are everything good writing should be. Thanks so much!"
   Stephanie via e-mail

"I have enjoyed all of your novels. I get so attached to the characters that I laugh with them, cry with them, and even find myself inclined to pray for them as I read...crazy, I know! The lives of your characters inspire me to live my life more devoted to God. I cannot wait until your new Scottish series comes out!"
   Terry from Virginia

"Love your writing! How the Lord has gifted you to weave such a storyline from one chapter of Scripture! Thanks for allowing the Lord to bless us through your wonderful gift."
   Pat from Ohio

"I'm originally from Ayrshire, the place where the most beautiful sunset in the world is enjoyed: the sunset over Arran. I have never enjoyed reading books as much as I have yours. As a Scot, I appreciate the attention you paid to the language, the foods, the details, everything...to keep it all authentic. I've been in America for most of my life, but I've still got a Scottish heart. You took me back to so many wonderful days."
   Jeanette from Arizona

"Wow! You've done it again! Grace in Thine Eyes surpassed my expectations. Once again you've taken a small story from the Bible, fleshed it out, and filled it with the most believable characters. Congratulations on another masterpiece."
   Anita from Colorado

"I have to be honest: I never really liked your choice of era to base your stories on, but your Scottish novels put me to shame. I absolutely love them! Especially Grace in Thine Eyes. That is indeed my favorite. Thank you for all the work you put into these books. I am looking forward to your new series."
   Shaunna from California

"I have just finished Grace in Thine Eyes and so enjoyed it. As I read, I wondered where you found this story, and was intrigued to learn that it was Genesis 34. I thought your handling of the story was lovely, and it came even more alive knowing the countryside in which your novel is set. I am amazed at the amount of research you did. You clever soul!"
   Fiona from Ayrshire, Scotland

"I just finished reading about Davina...it was well worth the wait. Thank you so much for all the research and time you devote to these books and for your creative ability to bring the Bible to life. I can't wait for the new series to begin."
   Sue from Indiana

"You are my favorite writer. I read many different authors and enjoy many, many of their stories, but you have such a way with weaving your stories that I am living them in depth. Smelling the flowers. feeling the wind, seeing the landscapes. Absolutely fantastic! The amount of time you spend in research must set you apart. There are other fantastic writers that I love, but you take the prize for me! God bless you! Continue to be passionate about what you do!"
   Pat via e-mail

"I'm in the midst of Davina's tale and afraid to go on! I needs muster my courage to read further. With mixed emotions I remain your faithful reader."

One day later...

"Och! I should have known to trust you! Another ferlie tale. I grabbed a tissue and finished the book. Thank you for ending with hope—a gie we all need more often than not! You continue to be a blissin!"
   Anne from Texas

"Four days ago I was ready to email you and ask why can't your characters just have a happy ending? Why such tragedy? Why can't I escape with a good Christian novel without being reminded how broken our world is? Well, God made me sit on this one and wait. He had a few things He wanted me to think over and now I'm ready to share with you something quite different. I was never fascinated with Scotch history...until I started reading your books. I have also found myself more emotionally moved in these books than anything else I have read. Your latest book, Grace in Thine Eyes was no exception. The thing that I did not expect to get from reading these books was a softened heart. God bless you!"
   Richelle via email

"I just wanted to say thank you for your imagination. I love your books. The latest was wonderful. I found myself as much in love with Davina as I did Leana. Your gift of words is truly something that touches lives, especially mine. I can't wait for your new series."
   Annie via email

"A year ago I picked up Thorn in My Heart and was enthralled. I spoke with a Scottish dialect for months. I just finished Grace In Thine Eyes and I told my husband that I wish I could shut my eyes and wake up in Spring 2008. I love your novels...LOVE them. I savor your books like Godiva chocolate. You know, tiny bite, control yourself, wrap it back up till next time..."
   Jessica from Texas

"Oh, WOW! I just minutes ago finished Grace in Thine Eyes. I have been reading the series since book one and am so completely hooked. What an incredible story! An absolute emotional roller coaster! You are so gifted. I love these stories and have bought them for several friends who love them as well."
   Wendi via email

"I continue to be enthralled at your incredible storytelling skill. You completely floored me with the plot twist you took. I found myself hanging on with my fingernails, not sure which way I wanted things to resolve. You move the story along with such rich detail, and draw me in so completely, that the chapters fly by. I’m especially impressed with the wonderful way you weave historical facts and daily life details into your stories—bringing everything to vivid life on the page."
   Adele from New Jersey

"Thorn, Rose, Prince, and Grace have moved me like very few others novels I've ever read (and that is many). Thank you for writing stories that are both very real, yet completely redemptive. I cannot put them down, and look forward to your next!"
   Christy from Mississippi

"Grace was really a great book! I love historical stories set in Scotland. If I could go anywhere in the world, it would be there. I have loved this series of books with this family. They show us how God has always had 'grace in His eyes' for us!"
   Polly from Arkansas

"I purchased Thorn in My Heart mostly out of curiosity: I saw it advertised in my Scottish Life magazine. I was hooked after that and now I have all of the trilogy and Grace in Thine Eyes. Your storytelling is the best, surpassed by none."
   William from South Carolina

"I had to write to you and tell you how much I have enjoyed Thorn in My Heart, Fair is the Rose, Whence Came a Prince, and your newest edition, Grace in Thine Eyes. I feel like I have lived the lives of Leana, Rose, Jamie, and Davina. Your gift for writing is unmatched. I have enjoyed this series more than words can say."
   Christina via email

"How can I thank you enough for the wonder and blessing I get from your books! Grace in Thine Eyes is no exception. I have been blessed again. You are the best!"
   Gaylene from Saskatoon, Canada

"Grace in Thine Eyes was so brilliant! God has given you a wondrous talent. I felt so connected to Davina the entire way through. Your historic research is so detailed. And I adore this time period. Oo aye...I simply cannot wait for Here Burns My Candle!"
   Victoria from North Carolina

"Wow! What a wonderful book! It is exciting and sad and joyful and full of suspense and love and wondering what will happen next. You put so much research into it and so much detail and you make it come alive at every page. It was just so good, I am now recommending Grace in Thine Eyes to my friends. Keep them coming!"
   Marion from Ontario, Canada

"Your trilogy books and Grace in Thine Eyes were absolutely wonderful. If I never visit Scotland, I feel like I have been there through your words!"
   Jane from Kentucky

"Blessings to you for sharing your gift of writing with us! I finished Grace in Thine Eyes on Sunday. Another unique novel sensitively penned with God and man in mind. I was amused by your insertion of Hamish, Alec's illegitimate brother, the biblical echo of Ishmael. Always have to be on the lookout for those things you treat us to!"
   Natalie from California

"Your novels are the best books I've ever read! It's sad to think that the only place these people will ever exist is in our minds. You are a fantastic writer. I've never read more spiritually inspiring fiction. Thank you for your ministry!"
   Kellie from Virginia

"I couldn't put Grace in Thine Eyes down and cried through out most of the book. I LOVED IT! Everything about this book is tremendous. The family dynamics, the description of the locations. I fell in love with Davina. I am a twin, so I loved reading about the twins too, and their fierce loyalty. Your ending was the best and realistic. It is a wonderful book about grace. I've recommended it to many!"
   Joanne from Washington

"I normally do not read fiction, but...I loved it! I could feel Jamie McKie's tenderness with his wife and daughter and his anger at his sons. I kept time with Davina when she played her fiddle and my heart ached for her losses. I felt like I was a fly on the wall each moment of the book. Thanks to you, I believe I have picked up a bit of the Scottish language as well. Write more please."
   Beckie from Kentucky

"I have so enjoyed 'stepping' into the pages of Grace in Thine Eyes. Thank you for helping me come away and rest awhile—by reading, imagining, and remembering how faithful our God is. You are an incredible writer!"
   Lisa from California

"We've just started a book club and our first book to read was your wonderful Grace in Thine Eyes. Thanks for all the wonderful writing you share with us through God's grace."
   DeeAnn from Idaho

"What a wonderful, touching story. I dreamed with Davina, hurt with her, cried with her, and could almost hear her music. I've read the trilogy and now this one and I'm hooked."
   Cheryl via email

"With your latest book, Grace in Thine Eyes, I was again taken away to a land where I’ve never been and visited with a family I’ve never met. It was wonderful! What a powerful message comes through this adventure! Grace, grace, amazing grace! Thank you for all your work, research, time, energy, travel...you have blessed us again!"
   Jonnelle from Kentucky

"Fabulous! I just finished Grace in Thine Eyes...it was wonderful! Your writing speaks to straight to the heart. I couldn't wait to reach the end, but when I did, I wasn't ready to say goodbye to all of the characters I had grown to love. Thank you so much for your ministry. I'll be greatly anticipating your next series beginning in 2008 with Here Burns My Candle."
   Jessica from Kansas

"I LOVED Grace! It was a wonderful retelling of the Bible story. Knowing what was going to happen wasn't a hindrance. In fact, it made me wonder how you were going to translate the biblical version into a more 'contemporary' (so to speak!) version. You made it a tragedy for all concerned, instead of just 'manly vengeance.' Thank you for writing such a great book! I truly enjoyed it, and am looking forward to you new series."
   Michelle from Texas

"I thought the trilogy with Jamie, Rose, and Leana would tear my heart apart. It was nothing to the effect that Grace in Thine Eyes had on me! My pillow was soaking wet! It definitely parallels real life because so many people want revenge rather than take the time, energy, and heart to forgive. I held Davina in my heart as I finished the book, but the tears kept flowing. Thank you for writing this wonderful story."
   Ginny via e-mail

"I have read the previous trilogy of the McKie family and absolutely fell in love with them and with Scotland. This story overwhelmed me with so many feelings, I am not sure I can describe them all. It brought me to tears several time. Again you have put pen to paper and artistically drawn in my mind the second generation of the McKie family. The images from this novel will not dim anytime soon. I have always loved historical fiction but you have taken it far beyond any other author. Thank you for being who God has created you to be."
   Dianna from South Carolina

"Just finished Grace. You've broken my heart once more. I could not bear to read on, yet I could not bear to stop reading. How I learned to love Somerled, even if he was a rake. How I wished I could hold Davina, and spare the family yet more grief and scorn and blether at the kirk. How I wished I could take the twins by the scruffs of their necks and rattle them until some sort of sense entered. [Other novels] do not weigh upon you like this one, tossing your emotions to and fro. Yet isn't this what life is really like? Breathtakingly beautiful in one moment, piercing and painful the next? Your novels are like no others."
   Christine from Connecticut

"I finished Grace in Thine Eyes last night and absolutely loved it. It far surpasses Thorn in My Heart which, up until now, had been my favorite of the series. The 'wee fairy' character of Davina is impossible not to love, so immediately endearing does she become to the reader. I truly admire how you manage to wrap a story around biblical themes without becoming preachy, and still convey the essence of mercy and forgiveness. I look forward to wandering Scotland again through your next book!"
   Eveline from Ontario, Canada

"I just finished reading Grace In Thine Eyes. I LOVED IT!!!! It is so funny to think of Leana and Jamie being in their 40’s. I had grown so close to them in their 20’s that it was odd at first but then the same old Leana and Jamie shone through so I had no problem. I loved the way Jamie seems to adore his wife. She very much deserves to be adored! This book made me cry almost as much as Fair Is the Rose but not quite! All these books are EXCELLENT! I hate finishing them because it’s like watching a really good movie you don’t want to end!"
   Audrey from Oklahoma

"I have just finished reading Grace in Thine Eyes. What a wonderful series! I especially love the quotations at the beginning of each chapter. They certainly set the mood. You are truly a master of the historical romance novel."
   Betty from Nebraska

"I've just finished Grace in Thine Eyes and have also read the first three. What a feast. You've carried me to that land and that people, and the depths of emotion have touched me deeply. I will be looking forward to the next books with anticipation."
   Earline from Idaho

"My four favorite books in the world are your Thorn in My Heart series! You've combined my greatest passions—the Lord and 18th-century Scotland. SIGH! You've ruined me for any other books. I'm eagerly awaiting your Here Burns My Candle series. Get 'er done, lassie!"
   Linda from Iowa

"You did it again...wrote a book that I loved. It's extraordinary. You created such a little sweetie in Davina. Sad, but unforgettable. I've enjoyed all the books...now the problem is waiting two looong years for the next historical. Mercy me!"
   Vondia from California

"Just finished Grace! What a rollercoaster ride of emotions! Initially I thought—how can she write a book about a girl who is unable to speak?—but you portrayed Davina's thoughts perfectly. It was also great to hear how Ian and the twins grew up. Looking forward to the next book."
   Heidi from Dorset, England

"Grace in Thine Eyes is AWESOME! WOW! You captured Davina's thoughts and frustrations with her muteness brilliantly. The whole story is so precious. I can't wait for all my friends to read it."
   Melissa from New York

"I opened the first page and six hours later closed this masterpiece—stunned and astounded at what God continues to do in and through you. This book is truly one of a kind. I sensed something unique pouring through your fingers in this. The 'forgiveness' theme emerges through all of the trilogy as well as Davina's story. I found my heart being moved to worship our Redeemer in a deeper, more passionate way than ever before. The story itself made me long to be as rooted and grounded in His life as Leana and Davina both are. They continued to see things from the Lord's perspective in spite of all that was unfolding around them. To follow the authenticity of Scottish everything in the 19th century, to carry the biblical parallel throughout, to create a fast-moving, life-changing drama in the midst of it all—oh Lord, don't let this dear woman put her pen down for a moment!"
   Glenna from Arizona

"Thank you so much for writing this wonderful series. I have waited anxiously for the next book to come out each spring and have been greatly rewarded. I have never before been so emotional while reading. These books are absolutely amazing. I know the writing process takes a considerable amount of time, but I just wanted to let you know that your writing is greatly appreciated."
   Anita from Pennsylvania

"Thank you for a wonderful story. I just keep telling everyone at work, 'It is SO good!' I've slept less the last few nights trying to steal just a few more minutes more to read. Now I am finished and I want more! ha. My mind is still with all the characters. How neat to be transported back to a different day and different time. You always point to the one who is the author of our Grace."
   Sarah from Oklahoma

"I finished Davina's story over the weekend and loved the book. I was intrigued to see how closely you might follow the difficult story of Dinah and delighted that for Davina and her family, there is hope for healing and restoration. You create such warm characters, it is always a wrench when the book comes to an end."
   Jackie from West Sussex, England

"I am almost grieving after finishing Grace in Thine Eyes, knowing that I will have to wait so long for more! More, more, more, please! I read A LOT of Christian fiction, and yours are absolutely by far the best. Our Lord Jesus has given you a mighty gift for sharing his love, and I've learned so much."

Jami from Michigan

"Another wonderful book. I really enjoyed the relationship between Leana and Davina. I hope to have a relationship that tender with my daughter some day. Davina is an extraordinary character. I was a communication major in college, and sometimes there is power in silence. It takes much more skill to listen than to talk. Oh, how I wish your books were made into a movie. While I realize film would never do the books justice, just having the visual would be something! Anxiously waiting your new series."
   Kim from Oregon

"What a pleasure it has been to read all four novels in the Scottish series. I have thoroughly enjoyed these books. Each one has brought tears to my eyes. To know God's grace and mercy like you have depicted in the lives of Davina and Leana is to really know the heart of God."
   Anne Marie from Mexico

"I absolutely love your writing! I can so easily get lost in your books. Such a clever way of retelling the Bible stories. I can't wait for your next series!"
   Sharon from New York

"Out of the four books in the Leana, Jamie, and Rose series, I have to say that Grace in Thine Eyes was my favourite. Thanks so much for a great read! I have always loved the story of Rachel, Jacob, and Leah, ever since I was a little child. The combination of British history (which I love) with a Bible story (which I also love) was really wonderful. I can't wait till the next book is out."
   Katy via e-mail

"You are truly amazing! Every time I read one of your books I fall in love with the people and their stories. Och! I dinna ken how ye can write sic a wonderful buik. Leana is just as gracie as ever. Our book club at church has read Thorn in My Heart, Fair Is The Rose, and Whence Came a Prince, and we are reading Grace in Thine Eyes at the end of this month. We love your books."
   Jayne from Indiana

"I can't begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed your books, especially the Scottish trilogy and Grace In Thine Eyes. I truly felt as though I was there, experiencing all of their joys and sorrows. We counted the days until Grace was released. I also appreciate all of the research you have done to make the settings, geography, etc. as historically accurate as possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing God to speak through your writing. It has blessed my soul."
   Peggy from California

"WOW. An awesome book. I loved every bit of it. How gracious a Father to bless the world through you."
   Melanie from Ohio

"It didn't take me long to finish the story of Davina! I have to admit, you had me hooked from the start. It was as heartfelt as the first three novels and just as touching. I anxiously await your next novel."
   Bridgett from Georgia

"I just finished reading Grace in Tine Eyes. I could not put it down from the moment I read the first sentence until the last! Your characters have a way of sticking with me long after the last page is turned. Thank you for all the hard work and research you put into your novels. It is not only entertaining but uplifting at the same time to read your work. I can't wait to see what happens next!"
   Melissa from California

"I read Grace in Thine Eyes every minute I possibly could, devouring it in less than three days. I was so wrapped up in it that I found myself wanting to say 'aye' and 'loosome' when talking to people in 'the real world.' At first, I wondered how easy it would be to get caught up in the world of a mute heroine. But I was so drawn in by your description of the places and times, the characters, and their wishes and dreams that I sometimes forgot she wasn't able to talk. You conveyed more about her and her true feelings than I think anyone could have done with a character who was able to speak. And yet you conveyed a very believable way of her communication with the people around her. I felt like I really knew her, just as I knew the other characters in the book. I loved how you continued to tell Leana and Jamie's story as they entered into another stage of life—parenting grown children. Grace in Thine Eyes was a wonderful way to show God's grace and forgiveness and how we should all strive to show His mercy to the people in our lives. And the ending was perfect. You not only touched my heart with your four Scotland novels and made me really think about my walk with God, you also introduced me to a whole new genre that I had previously thought I would not enjoy. I'm looking forward to your next series."
   Melissa from Kentucky

"A very satisfying story, perhaps the most satisfying yet. Toward the end, I couldn't help but think of Shakespeare, the way things transpired. But of course he was inspired by Scripture as well. Ah, to have the perfect mother. Ah, to be the perfect mother. A wonderful ending. Hopeful is good! And how do I top this?! Hafta go thru a little Scottish withdrawal before I start another novel."
   Barb from Wisconsin

"Kudos on your latest book, Grace In Thine Eyes. I just finished it at 1:30 this morning and it so touched my heart. Thank you for challenging me to dig deeper in His Word."
   Jamie from Kentucky

"I have read all of your historical novels and Mixed Signals. I love them all! You have such a gift for taking the reader into the lives of the people in the story. When I would stop reading, it was like I had to extract myself out of the story!"

"I read your new novel last night. And loved it. This is a series that should be handed down from mother to daughter. I can't wait to read your next book."

"Opening one of your Scottish novels is like hopping in a time travel machine. With Grace it was traveling to check in with my old friends, the McKies, and meet their children. I thought making Davina mute was an inspired idea. The silent duet portion of the story was one of the most hauntingly beautiful things I have ever read. I love that your stories are true to life...they are filled with laughter and tears. One can really see the hand and feel the heart of God upon your writing."
   Kirsten from Montana

"I finished Grace in Thine Eyes last night...I could not put it down! I have already read your Scottish trilogy, where I met and fell in love with Leana, Rose and Jamie. Thank you for writing such AMAZING novels...I got lost in all 4 of them. Thank you for showing me through this young 'fairy' that all are worthy of our love, grace, and forgiveness. I have been truly blessed by reading your novels...and have enjoyed SO much being apart of the McKies' lives! I look forward to Here Burns My Candle with MUCH anticipation!"
   Lynn from Arizona

"Where do I start? It's life—real life—whether then or now. I loved the hopeful ending. What a real man Jamie is. He sees his own mistakes and not-so- wonderful temperament in his sons. Yet, I did finally see remorse and maybe hope for those two. And Graham, what a treasure. I'll be reading the whole series over and over through the years."
   Dolly from New Mexico

"Let me tell you that you are an angel, if the definition of angel is one who speaks the feelings of God. As a male, I have never ever before shed tears while reading, but your Jamie tetralogy has had many a tear dribble my cheeks. My wife and I like to read to each other, but we cannot read these books aloud as we both get too choked up. As a friend said, each book is at least a two tissue box book."
   Carl from Virginia

"Love, love, love the book. It is sooo good, and has totally captured me. The writing is superb...excellent descriptions, beautiful characters, huge emotions! One of my favorite aspects is the interaction between the siblings. You are one amazing writer. What a blessing and a gift you give to others."
   Elizabeth from Kentucky

"Once again you have given us a wonderful view of Scotland, but more important, another view of God's grace."
   Becky from Ohio

"What an amazing job you did with the new book about Davina! I tend to read books about discipleship, parenting, Bible study techniques, etc. Then a friend brought me your Scottish trilogy and insisted I HAD to read these books! I reluctantly agreed, even though I don't particularly enjoy fiction. After the first 50 pages of the first book I was hooked! I LOVED them! It was such an escape for me to leave the present and go to 1800's Scotland. You are my FAVORITE fiction writer! I just get so captured into your stories and can't put the books down! Thank you so much for what you do and the ministry it has to so many people. I look forward to your new series."

"I just finished Grace in Thine Eyes and am so moved. I can hardly wait each year for a new book to come out. This novel has been just ferlie! I am so in love with your stories...God has given you a gift! My soul is stirred and my heart is left with hope. Bethankit!"
   Melissa from Ohio

"I have read the previous three novels no less than 10 times each; the story resonates deeper and deeper each time I read them. Any time I feel I need a reminder that God's grace, forgiveness, and love is endless and bountiful, I reach for your novels. When I first began Grace I was curious as to how you were going to transform the story of Dinah. It was such a joy to be reunited with Jamie, Leana, and their grown children. I found myself being torn in all emotional directions with regard to Somerled (at the close I grew to love him also). I had tears in my eyes many times during the novel. Just like a warm blanket the story envelopes you. I could not read quickly enough, but at the same time did not want it to end. The talent that you have to make the characters come alive on the page and in our hearts is remarkable. I eagerly await the new series."
   Amy from Maryland

"I am enthralled with Jamie, Leana, Rose, and now Davina! I loved having my heart exposed to exploring a different angle of the story. You have renewed my faith in Christian fiction. I can pick up one of your novels and have complete faith that I will thoroughly enjoy the characters, plot twists, and God's hand in their lives and never once guess the outcome. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"I loved Grace in Thine Eyes, and, in my opinion, it meets the stellar quality you set in the Thorn in My Heart series. Thank you for hours of enjoyment and priceless lessons learned."
   Faith via email

"Wow! What an excellent book Grace in Thine Eyes turned out to be! I was shocked at the turn of events this book offered! I thought the story was going one way, then you completely twisted it so it went in the direct opposite direction—no complaining, of course! I fully enjoyed it...the metaphors were phenomenal. I could literally taste, feel, and hear all that was happening. I can't wait for March of '08!"

Alyssa from Michigan

"It's a can't-put-it-down read...yet I didn't want the story to end! Oh, how romantic and beautiful. It all still makes me weep. Masterful, just masterful. Good and right and real. I love Davina...and what a joy to be back with Leana! She teaches me so much. So much faith and mercy and forgiveness in this marvelous book. It is grace indeed."
   Elizabeth from Kentucky

"I just finished Grace in Thine Eyes. It's awesome! Definitely the best yet!"
   Ann from Pennsylvania

"Grace in Thine Eyes
was delightful but too soon passed! This was really a wonderful culmination. Davina was truly bonny and blithe, good and gay. Thank you for giving dear Davina a hopeful future, and for taking me away into a Scotland that I feel I understand much better than the high- tech world I am trying to steer my children through in Galloway. God bless you, dear lady, for all your hard work."
   Rozanne from Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland

"Oh, my. You did it again. I was in tears by Chapter 10. And her younger brothers...oh, dear. I'm still worried over them...and it's Just A Book! Seriously, you write so well and you make your characters live. That's a great gift."
   Verna from Texas

"It’s always such a relief to turn the first page of one of your novels because I know it’s going to be true-to-life, true to the biblical concepts you are exploring, and entertaining. Grace in Thine Eyes was no exception. I was touched by the relationship Davina had with her parents, and I always particularly enjoy any passages that include Leana. It amazes me that you can pick up a story from the limited information in the Bible, move it many centuries forward and transplant it to another culture, all the while jealously guarding the biblical facts, truths, and message. I pray that the Lord will use this new book to touch lives."
   Nancy from Texas

"Like the sun through an early morning Scottish mist, or the fragrance from Leana McKie's lavender, this story gently unfolds and wraps around until, once again, I was captured by these characters. Questions arise, teasing and enticing until, ah, at just the right time you provide an answer. Grace in Thine Eyes unfolded like a classic tragedy—seemingly unavoidable tragic consequences following from characters' flaws. Thank you for another gift from a master seanchaidh. A wonderful book."
   Mary Kay from California

"I think this is the best yet! So full of twists and turns. A beautiful story of grace, showing us that no matter what has happened in our lives, God is always there to help us start again. My emotions ran from a racing heart to tears as the adventure unfolded. I didn't want to put it down."
     Leesa from Kentucky

"WOW. What incredible writing you have blessed us with in Grace in Thine Eyes! I loved the description of the loosome gown on pages 140-141, then studying the photo of Davina on the cover of the book...well done! Thanks for warning us of the struggles the wee lass would endure. My heart ached sorely for her, but I loved the triumphant ending!"
     Dianne from Illinois

"Oh, what a good book. Having recently read the story of Dinah during a Bible study, I was excited to see how you portrayed her story in fiction. Wonderfully done! Especially weaving in the healing power of forgiveness and mercy. Isn't Leana the mother we all wish we were?! Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed the book."
   Janet from Texas

"I finished Grace in Thine Eyes...and I feel that I have lost my best friend. It was the best one that you have written; I could not put it down, and I used a half box of Kleenex. Even knowing the Bible story, I am awed by your adaptation of the story. I loved the Davina character and sympathized with her throughout the novel. How can you possibly top this one?!"
   Carol from Kentucky

"I cannot begin to tell you have much I have treasured this historical series! I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the latest and I loved it. Thank you for the hopeful ending—perfect!—and for the past several summers of exciting, romantic, tearful, and mercy-filled reading. It truly has been a blissin!"
   Lisa from Indiana

"I read through Grace in Thine Eyes in 24 hours! It's a divine story. I got so caught up with Davina's life and her music. Oh, I just couldn't put your magnificent book down! It's a fabulous read. It was a treat to visit Arran, too. Thank you for the beautiful descriptions of the landscape, and the very accurate portrayal of the temperamental weather of the Scottish islands! The main feature of Grace is the wonderful grace of God which cannot be mustered in oneself, only given freely from above, which absolutely saves the day. It's a truly wonderful story, and I pray many readers will be blessed."
Helen from the Isle of Skye, Scotland

"Once I start, I can't put down your work. As usual, I was left with tears streaming down my face, the images of a time and place painted in my mind and heart. The theme of redemption resonates clearly, and the historical elements spurred my curiosity to know more. You did a wonderful job."
